First Responders Acknowledged by Burwell Nebout
As a sign of gratitude for the first responders who put their lives on the line to assist our clients and community when they are injured, Burwell Nebout issued to all Galveston County Law Enforcement and Fire Departments a letter of thanks along with providing these men and women a free will package for them and their families. These first responders put their lives on the line daily to save and care for those injured. Often, many of them work without the legal protection of having a will, power of attorney and power of healthcare. Burwell Nebout hopes to provide these men and women some security in the management of their affairs in the event that they are injured during the course of their employment.
Million Dollar Advocates Forum
Russell G. Burwell, III and James D. Nebout were inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. The Million Dollar Advocates Forum is one of the most prestigious group of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Less than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.
The organization was begun in 1993 and now has approximately 3,000 members throughout the United States. Membership includes many of the top trial lawyers in the country. Many of the members have achieved numerous million and multi-million dollar results. The common fact is that they have each demonstrated, in an objective and tangible way, their ability to accomplish superior results in complex cases. Certification by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum provides recognition of such accomplishment and a national network of experienced colleagues for information exchange, assistance and professional referral.

James D. Nebout was voted a 2006 and 2007 Top Lawyer by H Texas Magazine. The list is created through a combination of peer voting and reader nominations. The list represents the top 2% of attorneys in the Houston area.
